Show your love…and grab a broom

I am looking for a few parents to give about 15 minutes of their time Sunday nights after Cross Current.  There are some necessary cleaning things that have to be done after Cross Current and I would love to have some help doing those.  So if you love Cross Current  and would be willing to give me 15 minutes when you pick up your student to help clean, it would be appreciated.  Please let me know.

To be honest, it’s kind of boring mopping the floor by yourself at 8:30 in the evening! So come help me!!!

Cross Current Volunteer Opportunities

There are a few opportunities on the horizon where we need a few volunteers to step up and help.  Here a some areas where we are going to need help in the coming weeks:

 1. Snack Shack- at least one adult a week to come and run our snack shack, where students can purchase snacks, candy and drinks for Cross Current.
This starts this coming Sunday, August 26th from about 5:45pm to 6:45pm and 7:30pm to 7:45pm.

2. Habit Shack- We want to provide an area where students can go and get resources to help them grow spiritually.  Some resources will be charged for and some will be free. As we gather these supplies, we will need individuals to help man the habit shack and someone to manage it- tracking supplies, scheduling volunteers, etc.
This habit shack will start on Sunday, Sept. 9th.

3. Care Group Leaders- If you truly have a passion for helping students grow in their Christian walk, and you want to take an active part in the process, this may be the spot for you. You would be assigned a small group of teenagers, and you would begin to develop a relationship with them, encouraging them, spending time with them, and growing them in their Christian walk.

As you read this blog and one of these volunteer positions interests you, I would ask that you do three things:
1. Check with your Student to make sure that they are okay with you being involved. If your student has an issue with you volunteering, give them the opportunity to tell you why.
2. Pray that God would show you if this is something that you should do.
