Where do your kids shop?
A teen has the desire to be stylish in their appearance. Stores like Hollister, American Eagle, Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, make millions of dollars from teens and their clothing choices. And these companies spend tons of money on research into advertising, store appearance, and the shopping experience. Why? Because the better the experience and advertising, the more money they will make. It’s smart business.
But does being fashionable have to come at the cost of being modest? And does what a store advertises actually represent what we want to be representing?
Abercrombrie & Fitch have been in the news many times over the last 5-7 years for their advertising and products. From sexy undergarments for little kids, to provocative poses in magazines, and now again for a display in a Abercrombie & Fitch store in Virginia Beach. Here is the article.
How does that make you feel as a parent? What are you going to do about it? How does your teen feel about it? What a great conversation starter…
